      This is an insufficient ground force to invade Iran. So, if these are boots on the ground, they are basically being sent on a suicide mission to drum up support for this war when they are all viciously slaughtered.

      It’s gonna take a hell of a lot more than 2,200 Marines to invade Iran.

      There are approx 50,000 U.S. personnel stationed in the Middle East. Most of them are support, logistics, operations, training, etc. Not boots on the ground invasion/fighting forces.

      For reference, in the opening days of Operation Dessert Storm (the First Gulf War), there over 400,000 US military personnel in the Gulf area alone, and that doesn’t count the other coalition forces involved.

      In the opening days of the Second Gulf War, there were over 100,000 US military personnel in the Gulf area (again not counting any of the other coalition forces).

      How about removing sanctions on Russia, giving them more money and reward them for helping Iran against you, the US. That’s also the most 4d chess ever. Paying guys that help other guys to injur or kill ur personnel. Art of the deal.
