  1. Dang sounds like you don’t want to be a tourist in war-torn, Streisand-effect Dubai, you might get arrested!

  2. I’ll never understand why anyone would want to visit Dubai. They will toss you in jail for breaking wind.

  3. going to another country like this, I think it is easy to forget that they operate under a different set of laws. It doesn’t make what the UAE is doing right, but not every law is the same around the world.

  4. It’s not a “free” country in our sense of the word. A relative of mine, during her PhD, had a a research paper accepted in a conference in the UAE. They gave her a bunch of forms to apply for “security clearance” because apparently not everyone can give a talk in a university. She did not get the clearance despite of her Canadian citizenship. The clearance forms were concerned with religion, sect, parental information, etc. She was told she is free to attend the conference but can’t give a talk. The talk had nothing to do with politics and was in the world of computers.

I’ve heard that Israel doesn’t want the media filming Iron Dome interceptions, presumably to protect the secrecy of their locations. Is this something similar?

I’ve said it before and I will say it again!

People need to stop going to Islamic countries!

Doing that will force these backwards countries to modernise!

You’re trading tax for freedom quite deliberately, so you shouldn’t be surprised when they want their side of the deal.

Dubai and surrounding areas are desert and hot, hot, hot. Why go to harms way for a vacation I wonder.

Also 5 years in Israel if you post pics or post information about deaths online. And they call themselves a democracy.

    Strange times.

He didn’t even share it, just captured the footage on his phone. Turns out Dubai isn’t really the paradise everyone makes it up to be.

He got charged despite being a man ? What is the Islamic world coming to /s

Well deserved though, live, promote and invest in slave state, this is a good promotion.

  12. As a Hindu Indian, my heart ‚bleeds‘ for them, referring of course, to the apolitical celebrities who ignore the politics affecting the local poor, and the rightwing grifters who champion policies that marginalize Muslim minorities while staying quiet about their own investments. Apparently, those Dubai folks are quite secular when it comes to where their money comes from.

I wouldn’t shed a tear if the real estate markets where our elites stash their wealth to evade local taxes were to collapse. I only hope that places like Switzerland and the Cayman Islands aren’t next on the list for where corruption money, drained from the Third World, is channeled before the elites make those places unlivable too.

I mean think of where our 3rd world elites and their descendants would live if they don’t have a place to escape to from areas which they make unlivable by extracting value from there.
