    Warum sind die Polen so sehr gegen die Homo-Ehe?


    Im Ernst: Welchen Sinn hat es, sich dagegen zu wehren, außer sich zu widersetzen, um Widerstand zu leisten? Wenn Sie Homo-Ehen nicht mögen, heiraten Sie einfach keine Person des gleichen Geschlechts?

      That is the part of political identity. you HAVE to be against it if you are X or Y.

      Catholic country, but it changes rapidly. Minority of Poles is opposed to the same sex marriage, not all.

      Religious or personal beliefs, a lot of poles are already distrustfull of change and how the lgbt community appears in media ie. marches and big colourfull, overwhelming groups is not helping. From what i saw from wuite a lot of apolitical poles, they dont really want anything new that is as i mentioned overwhelming so often they conciously or nof oppose those ideals.

      Far right-wing politicians like to scare people that allowing gay people to be accepted in society would lead to homosexual orgies.

      Then the narrative is always the same – this will affect children and gays will chase down every person that they see on the street to have sex

      They are worried that once it’s legalized, they’ll need to go find a husband for themselves, or be forced to join gay orgies or something…

      From their perspective a gay marriage isn’t far from marrying an animal you fuck.

      My grandma hates LGBT even tho she never met anyone gay (besides me, but she doesn’t know) and doesn’t even know how to pronounce the word

      Bo kościółek. Mieliśmy księdza w naszej parafii który molestował ministrantów. Kiedy go w końcu nawineli, stare dewoty zaczęły klepać że to właśnie młodzi chłopcy niewinnego księdza uwodzili, bo przecież z niego taki dobrodziej.

      Because when they see two men in a relationship they start thinking about anal sex and that makes them uncomfortable. I’m not even joking, that’s what they say, that it’s icky.

      I mean those that are, I’m not implying it’s all Poles, I don’t think it’s the majority anymore.

      And hands down the most reeee… Dumb one:

      „Gay couples will get the same benefits as hetero couples, without the same expectations (having kids)“

      I wish I was joking with that last one, but had a debate with someone some time ago and THIS was their main argument.

      Nah. Im conservative person and I dont care who you marry ;-). For me, you can marry a horse, still fine 😉

      Also, I dont know many people in Poland who are against something that much. I mean, most vocal people are easier to be noticed, while most of people either dont care or accept pretty much everything.

      From what I’ve heard (I don’t start those conversations, but sometimes I simply overhear things), people think it’s „not natural“ and „children shouldn’t be exposed to this“. I don’t know how to respond, so I just stay silent.

      Because of Sodom and Gomorrah. „Bible says it’s a sin“. That’s the main argument in a country where majority of older people is religious.

      as a polish lesbian, i hope for a day that i can take my girlfriend to see my country, and we don’t have to hide our love from the public. i just want to hold their hand and take them to my hometown. i hope one day its safe for us. thank you to all my fellow poles who support gay rights. ❤️
