Attack Iran while negotiating nuclear deal
> Kill the Supreme Leader
> Doom all US bases in the Middle East to death
> Molest the oil market
> Deplete the US interceptor stockpile
> Almost guarantee Iran nukes
> Replace Khamenei with a more radical Khamenei
What was his plan?

Gulf states will love an increasingly unpredictable and radical US taking it over. NEVER MIND the logistics nightmare to even make that possible. Escorting every ship. It’s absurd

Echoes of Gallipoli…
For those unfamiliar: The 1915–1916 Gallipoli Campaign was a failed Allied amphibious attack attempting to take control the Dardanelles Strait (similar geographic chokepoint to the Strait of Hormuz), knock the Ottoman Empire out of World War I, and open supply lines to Russia. The Allied forces stalled and ultimately retreated after eight months, after something like 250k casualties on both sides (500k total).

Could make sense if Trump and his entourage invested in oil futures. What a bunch of crooks.

How is that going to work, is he going to annex the northern shore with American troops to prevent drone launches?

Huh? How does he intend to do that?
We are being stretched too thin. Literally we are becoming the world’s policeman and now crossing guard. What’s next, will we put a cap on oil prices? GMAFB.
Good thing conservatives are in charge, or else globalists and socialists would run the government. 🤣😂🤣😂

I’m sure setting up American carrier groups just offshore of Iran could have no significant risks.

EU, Russia, India, and China have mostly sat out of the US’s recent moves in the Western Hemisphere, but I’ll bet taking the Strait of Hormuz is where the line is crossed. That threatens the bottom line and security of every country and perhaps more importantly, the political legitimacy of their ruling politicians

As I’ve been saying so many times in the last few weeks, if it was really that easy we would have done it already.

No shit? You mean the axis of the world energy economy? That was the first thing you thought to secure… It was, right?
Please tell me that 1000’s of years of military strategy, and 40 years of plotting included securing Hormuz right off the bat.
Isn’t that the most pivotal area you could imagine controlling for long term security and dominance?

I mean sure put in a base run patrols that serves American interests. But it isn’t cheap and runs counter to Trump’s previous FP goals.
