Impressive. Isn’t 115 lbs at 5’10 somewhat on the underweight side of things?
Forgive me for saying this, but 115 lbs seems a bit low to be healthy for 5’ 9.5”. I would think 140 or even 150 would be a reasonable goal
How are you calculating your body fat because 115 and 5’9” and 16% body fat would mean you have like no muscle mass
If you are a 5’10” man and weigh 115lbs that is a significantly unhealthy low weight.
You were overweight before but you have corrected too far.
115lbs(~52 kg) is actually quite low for 175cm. It could lead to hormonal imbalance and other health complications down the line. Strongly recommend you to reverse diet your way to sustainable levels.
Please talk to a doctor. 115 is close to unhealthy at your height and it looks like you’re still going down–looking at this chart makes me worry about anorexia. It’s not just something women get.
I’m 5’9 and was anorexic in high school and my doctor talked to me about it when I hit about the point you’re at. That was miserable and embarrassing at the time, and it was hard to believe that I could be close to dangerously thin when that wasn’t how I saw myself, and hard to accept that something I was proud of (my weight loss) had taken control of me and was hurting me, but the conversation and subsequent turnaround really saved me from damaging my heart far worse than I did. Weight is *not* the whole story to health and you will hurt yourself badly if you keep going in the direction this chart is headed. Even with the successful turnaround and recovery I had before things got too bad my past anorexia made it harder to get or be on certain medications that would really help me later in life, because the medications stress the same parts of the body that anorexia stresses.
Later in life, after I’d regained a little then lost it again from chemo, 120 lbs was where my oncologist told me that if I lost any more she’d put me on nasal feeding tubes because it would be getting dangerous for me. And before you say „oh you must just have more muscle than me“–I was nearly bedbound and I was so weak I couldn’t walk without aid, that’s how little muscle I had. You won’t be healthier or look better if you’re „cancer patient who needs nasal feeding tubes“ thin.
5’9 and 115lb is extremely underweight especially if you’re a male.
A BMI of 16.5 with 16% body fat is not great.
Are you being starved?? I’m 5’9″ 145 and relatively skinny
You need to gain like 40 pounds at that height. You have to have no muscle at all for these numbers to be true
please go talk to a medical professional.
it feels to me like you have allowed yourself to have too much control
This is extremely unhealthy. Put on some muscle and get that closer to 135-150.
My man, I’m 5’10” and 175 lbs. I’m relatively muscular but not crazy so. I’m around 16% body fat as measured by a scale and calipers. How are you 115 lbs? Are you sure your height and weight are correct? I feel like at least one has to be off.
You are underweight. You need to eat more food
And go to the gym
You should speak with a doctor. This is an unhealthy weight for a 5’9” male.
Do you have zero muscle?
I felt weak having less than 150lbs a muscle. On pace to cut to 15 percent body fat this summer again.
Sir, is this a cry for help?
First, congrats on your weight loss.
But I’m just going to pile on what everyone else is saying- 115 is scary skinny for 5’10”. I’m 5’7” and spent a lot of time between 110 and 120 in high school as a wrestler and coxswain. I too got down to 110 lb my senior year on a 1500 cal/day diet. It was Not Healthy. I’m in my 50s now and about 155. Not sure of my fat % but I run 40 miles a week.
Eat some more and lift some weights.
Best of health to you.
This cannot be healthy. What is your heart rate? Please talk to a doctor. Eating disorders are lethal. You should be at about the same weight percentile that you were at growning up. Not everyone is supposed to be thin. Please see a doctor.
This is a BMI of 16.5 and is medically considered anorexic.
This should not be positively promoted, mods should remove this post.
That’s way too light for your age and height
I’m 5’9.5″ and I can’t even imagine what my body would look like at 115. I weigh 185 now at about 25% body fat and significant muscle and my calculated weight at peak muscle mass is close to 155.
Impressive cut, but dude you need to hit the gym and build some muscle.
At 5’9″, 115 lbs, 16% bf you have zero muscle at all. Do a slow/lean bulk (+250-350 cal/day) for 4 months while lifting heavy 3x a week and eating 120+ grams of protein per day. You’ll put on 8-12 lbs of lean mass, may lose some fat, have lower bf%, and won’t look like a POW.
I think you way overshot the goal there.
Somebody get this man a sammich.
115 is a scary number dood.
Go get some help.
I echo what everyone else is saying, 115 is far too light. The measurement of body fat is probably wrong.
I don’t know how you’re measuring your body fat, but that is either incorrect or you are in the danger zone. If you’ve lost that much weight with that body fat percentage, then you’ve probably been shedding muscle mass and not fat with your weight loss.
That is not healthy. 16% at that weight means you have no muscle, like at all. I have a 15-23% body fat, and weigh 165-170 at the same height. Body fat should not be the sole metric that determines healthiness. Everyone is built differently, so while 15% may be a sweet spot for some, 20% might be better for others. It looks like you have been on an extreme calorie deficit, which at your weight is very troubling. I urge you to see a doctor.
Lastly, unless you took a Dexa or hydrostatic weighing, that percentage is most likely wrong and should be taken with a grain of salt (hence why I gave myself a range).
I got down to 126lb at OPs same height.
Apparently was 11% BF. Been gyming for 4 years.
OP looks significantly less healthy than I did.
I am up to 145, and think 130 to 135lb would be a great middle ground/aethetic/strength wise, for where my muscle and fat composition is likely to be this year.
Cool weight loss but you’re definitely underweight – for reference, I’m 5’11“, 200 lbs, and roughly 20% BF (DEXA + hydrostatic weighing). Do your best to put on some muscle.
Also get your testosterone levels checked. It doesn’t seem like you’re able to put on muscle which can be a symptom of low T. Dropping bodyfat tends to lower testosterone levels as well. HRT might be really beneficial for you.
lol you are just like me, never measures when it’s going up.
How many calories do you eat each day? What sort of exercise do you like to do and at what cadence? What foods would you say you consume most commonly?
It is indeed impressive, I struggle to lose 5 lbs I gained during the Christmas holidays lol.
It looks like your diet not only destroyed your fat but also your muscles. I’m the same height as you but I cannot imagine myself weighing 115 lbs, I would have to lose pretty much all my body fat to achieve this. You definitely need to gain some muscles.
Jesus Christ man for the love of god lift weights
