      I thought they were never supposed to release email files because they are encrypted server side and therefore they couldn’t be accessed by them? Or at least that’s what they used to say in the beginning iirc.

      This website is insufferable on mobile. Not even going to try reading it. Ads with sound turned on automatically, pop ups all over the screen, I closed one, then a full page ad opened, closed that, then it reset me to the top of the page. Yeah no fucking thanks.

      Does using a Proton Alias email do anything to skirt around this issue or will Proton just link the alias back to parent account anyways and still handover payment info?

      They followed the legal process of their country who then subsequently abused that process to hand the data over to the FBI.
