I think it’s more a mental “well shit, guess there goes my score.”
Impressive scores. I shoot about that on the front 9.
Do you think it has to do with how hard you’re being on your score? Like you want to really feel like you got par so you’re a bit harder on your score when it’s close. I say this because there is another somewhat significant jump in the reverse from 79 to 80. Where you may feel like you realllly don’t want to shoot an 80 so you give yourself a break.
Spike at 73 is so telling, our brains just fixate on that one-over mark.
