  1. Nice to see everyone calling out Israel as the genocidal apartheid state it’s always been.

I love how the Palestinian Authority isn’t even on this map so: 1. Israel is accused of the rights it, for some reason, needs to grant to the citizens of another country (the PA). And 2. The haters don’t need to face the fact that the Palestinian Authority is a dictatorship that regularly tortures and murders its own citizens.

  3. Uh oh…. Israel was not ranked at the bottom. Time for another episode of „comments meltdown“. Let me grab my popcorn…..

There’s so much work to be done:

    * Let women show their faces and hair outdoors, wearing Western attire. Let them travel independently. Give them equal rights in child custody, economics, and politics. Ban domestic abuse.

    * Grant freedom of speech, press, and assembly to Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, etc.

    * Let ex-Muslims convert to other religions.

    * Let gay people cohabitate without fear of harassment. And give gay people equality in secular employment, housing, etc.

I mean the fact Iraq is higher than Turkey and Egypt is surprising to me.

Did a quick Google, this is what it threw up (please don’t shoot the messenger):

    >Israel has progressive LGBTQ+ rights, including anti-discrimination laws, recognition of foreign same-sex marriage, and joint adoption, ranking 50th globally. Conversely, in Palestinian territories, homosexuality is taboo, legal only in the West Bank and criminalized in Gaza under a 1936 law, ranking 146th.

Surely Turkey is no Scandinavia, but this map is pn extreme bullshit levels

Even on the worst day of Turkey, it’s still better to live here than any of the Sharia infested countries, I’d rather have Erdogan say interest rates are haram and crush our economy than living in Iraq any day of the week, and yes what I wrote also includes Israel

  10. Which Cyprus? The Greek side, the Turkey puppet side. Or the British bases?

  11. Schrodinger’s West Bank. Not a country worthy of being in the UN, but conveniently left out of Israel when into inclusion would make it less free than Saudi Arabia.

It seems all the „Isnotreal should be RED!!!“ idiots/bots are here🍿

Right, westerners to talk about Human Rights in the middle east, oh boy

Voted by whom? The countries that benefit from dehumanizing these people and cultures so they can profit?

  15. For all the talk of the US being a failed nation builder it seems like Iraq is actually doing alright. They are far from perfect but it seems like they do actually have a sort of functional democracy? They had some setbacks with the rise of ISIS and their human rights are not perfect but still they seem relatively stable now as a nation even with instability on all sides of them.

  16. The fact that Yemen – literally hell on earth – is not last makes this list completely untrustworthy in my eyes.

  17. Lol, human rights index 80, Israel. Haha they should include “unless you are Palestinian”.

  18. I’m glad that for all its failures the Us state building project managed to build a relatively free Iraq.
