Whether the regime falls or persists, history suggests this will end poorly for the Kurds.

Without air support Iran is going to have a really hard time, especially if the Kurds have air support from the Americans and Israelis.

If this spreads any further, it won’t be easy to contain. ⚠️

So we’re just trying everything that failed in the past. Next they’ll play Weekend at Bernie’s with Cheney’s dead body.

Why in the fuck would they help when Trump fucked them over so bad many were killed in 2017?

So like what’s the plan here? Support the kurds toppling the current regime then tell them JK we are gunna give it back to the Iranians because they are a minority that wouldn’t be able to hold the country together?

Or we splitting up Iran into multiple countries now? Because I don’t think the Iranian population will be cool with that either

  7. Oh I bet Turkiye is happy about this.

What if Turkiye invades those areas since the fighters are leaving? What a quagmire this is going to be

Kurds only account for 10% of the population… soooo what are you expecting ?

  9. If the Kurds move close to the Turkish border, the Turkish army could move into Iran to “stop the Kurds.” And once Turkey starts something like that, the situation could become really dangerous.

Honestly, that might even be what Israel wants — the easiest way to weaken two major enemies would be to let Turkey and Iran fight each other.

This sounds like a very bad idea. These aren’t even Kurds in Iran. They’re from Iraq from what I could tell from the article.

CIA promises them good times for all when finished

    CIA never appears again

The kurds must have very short memories. The US govt told them to stand up to Sadam and then abandoned them to mass death by the then Iraq govt. Rhetorical question: what do they think is going to happen this time? Sigh

This is the only outlet reporting this, from what I van tell. And it’s an Israeli source. I assume this offensive will happen eventually but I’m skeptical of this report

  14. Why would the Kurds EVER listen to Americans?

We’ve betrayed them like a hundred times.

So Trump can abandon them again like he did in Syria during his first term?

I don’t get why the Kurds would ever trust him again.

This is literally them spitballing without a plan. Not a single Trump admin mouthpiece has said a word about arming or preparing the Kurds and that shit takes months at minimum.

Iran’s going to thrash around and take out global economic infrastructure in the ME and the US is going to end up with boots on the ground.

    MAGA America voted for this.

All power to the Kurds. They prove their bravery again and again, only to get fucked over by the powers that be.

  18. To be fair I think they don’t really have a choice. If Iranian government is not toppled, they will probably purge the Kurds just because of paranoia.
