Meanwhile MicroSlop launches MicroSlop Windows 12 with an NPU hardware requirement

  2. The moment you can game fluidly on ARM with x86 emulation, or if the industry switches over to ARM-based architecture for gaming, Windows is cooked (But like medium rare, not well done, they still will make money on the corporate side due to enterprise MDM and Entra ID benefits of using windows workstations)

  3. Microsoft is doing a fine job threatening it’s Windows PC market all by itself.

  4. Apple is finally realizing that 99% of the stuff many people do on a laptop is accomplished within a browser or an app that could run easily on a phone.

8GB of RAM is an absolute travesty, industry standard should be 16GB at the very least in 2026 but the RAM market has been decimated by AI.

Making cheap products is what got apple to where they are today so!

Oh man just 599 to enter the black sucking hole of an ecosystem that Apple provides?!

    Who could say no?

It’s not going to displace Windows for the same reason Chromebooks didn’t – software and support.

  9. Damn I’m still using a MacBook Air from 2015 that hasn’t been able to update in years. The battery is almost toast. I don’t have an office job and really just use my computer for Reddit and YouTube. This Neo might get me to cave and replace it.

  10. So this’ll eat into the IPad/keyboard segment? If you just want something with a keyboard that plays in the Apple ecosystem

  11. Does it have ports? Apple lost me when they put out a $1000+ computer that had only 2 ports on the entire machine and they were usb-c. So if you had an external hard drive and a charger plugged in at the same time then that’s it lol that’s all your computer could handle. Having no USB drive or Ethernet port was just fucking insane

Just in time as Microslop is set to release Windows 12 as a subscription

Great news! I don’t want to buy anything running Microslop’s Ai software.

  14. Man, I’ve been a Microslop customer for 36 years – probably time to change.

It’s getting to a point where Apple is becoming the affordable option

Especially if Windows 12 is what they claim. A subscription based, AI slop generator is a big no from me.
