      I don’t think any serious law enforcement entity should be wasting time and energy on a program that even the minister of public safety admitted was a vote grab exercise catered to the least informed public segment on gun laws.

      I do wish Carney would just put this program out of its misery. It’s indefensible at this point.

      I think this is becoming a big embarrassment for the government. I wonder how much consultation they did, all that money spent and most provinces and cities are saying no. For a long time the problem was the border and illegal guns coming into Canada and instead going after local legal owners. I rather they had spent money going after the source of illegal guns vs buying back legal guns.
