      Because we’ve filled our white house with incels.

      „looksmaxxer“ slang is something distinct and only semi-related to incels. They seem to have read or in parallel arrived at the incels‘ contentions and put them into practice. I’m only familiar with one of these types, someone purposefully who has the worst personality imaginable, but used face surgery to become sexually successful and affirmed their contentions.

      Select terms from obscure sub cultures always filter up to the mainstream and almost always broaden in definition.  Pretty much everyone uses *some* slang that was exclusive the worst people you can imagine 10-15 years ago.

      Because fascism is a syncretic movement. It seeks gather as many frustrated people as it can by surface level transplanting them within a far right ultranationalist context. It pretends to benefit its supporters by borrowing their language and idioms so that it can mobilize them behind the regime.

      It is able to incorporate all these beliefs because it is ideologically hollow. There is nothing there, no morals no principles and no workable vision for society. It is an expression of political nihilism that keeps its followers from introspection by constantly picking fights and pretending that this is a struggle for their survival.

      The most recent Behind the Bastards podcast episodes did a really interesting investigation of Epstein’s influence on the modern world, really opened my eyes to the extent of the corruption.
