    Latin American immigration has played a major role in shaping in the U.S. over the past 5-6 decades with around 27 million people in the USA being born in Latin America, making up 52% of all immigrants in the USA. It’s estimated that up to 80% of all Latinos outside of Latin America live in the United States.

    In Canada, Latin America is a much smaller and newer population as historically most immigration to Canada has been from Europe and Asia. However, the great white north is still home to the 3rd largest Latino diaspora in the world after the USA and Spain, with around 8% of their foreign born population being born in Latin America.

    i’m from maryland and yea hella el salvadorans i went to school with a ton of them

  4. I checked and the census has there being more Mexicans than Brazilians or Colombians in BC, Ontario and the Northwest Territories so… what is your source?

    I’m from Ontario and somehow I’ve never met a Mexican person ever. Plenty of Colombians and Salvadorans.

    Crazy how common mexicans are though in the US vs other latin groups.
