The yanks are going to keep doing this shit. That’s not the issue though because they are going to do much worse to Canada. We need a full divorce. We need to work with the world to isolate the US until it falls apart like the USSR. Anyone who thinks the dems are going to win and everything is going to be ok again is mistaken. There is no going back.

The white house posting a deepfake of him trashing Canada 2 days after using the whole American team as props during the state of the Union is pretty fucking on brand. I’m sure this will go over well with sens fans, hahaha

  3. Did anyone read the article? 6 comments 1-2 minute after the post. It’s a Deepfake

  4. It’s jokes because so many of the players are already back in Canadian cities lmao they really wanna lose their core fan base?

I’ve long since given up on expecting anything even remotely resembling professionalism and sobriety from Trump. AI generated videos mocking other nations is right about his maturity – 79 going on an edgy 10.

  6. „I guess I don’t like that video“

I’d guess you weren’t born, you were hatched

It’s time for Canadian teams to make Canadian players their captains. Or at the very least let’s make guys who respect our beautiful country the leaders of our teams. There’s zero reason a guy who is so disrespectful toward Canada is the captain of the team that represents our capital.

Not the first time Tkachuk has been caught using that slur. I can’t see him getting a very warm welcome next time he plays in Canada.

Damn, the White House trying to create more friction between the US and Canada with deepfake videos is just pathetic.

This is being blown way out of proportion, it’s obviously an AI video to anyone who sees it. You have to be either 85 years old or have a room temp IQ to believe it’s real, I wouldn’t apologize for something I didn’t say either. I think it’s good that he publicly says he didn’t agree with it and that it was a distasteful joke from the White House but this is misdirected anger.

  11. Fake or not the Tkachuk brothers are scum that have no place in the game.

They prove themselves daily as spineless thugs and horrible human beings.

I don’t care about Tkachuk, the leopards ate his face. The big story to me is that the White House considers us maple syrup eating f**ks.

Could you imagine if Carney or some official Canadian govt account posted something that called Americans hotdog-eating uneducated f**ks. Fox News would make it their main story tomorrow. Nick Fuentes would suggest we get b*mbed. Thousands of Americans online would be tearing up their shirts. You don’t do this to Murica, only THEY get to do it because they’re the best country on earth and they have the biggest muhlitary.

It’s such a weird world that the USA winning gold (double) will be a contributing factor to their cultural decline. Meanwhile in Canada, we’ll see you back on the ice. We’ll take these lumps, and it will be different in the future, always is.

I saw a post by someone the other day,… “When Canada wins they celebrate winning,… when the U.S. wins they celebrate the other team losing.” We’ve certainly seen quite a bit of that since the Olympics. Not surprised.

Guilty by association. You go to the White House and shmooze with the rapist in chief? You get what you deserve.

Well Brady now you know what kind of guy you were giddy to shake hands with

He has no honour, he has no class, he has no respect for anyone

You had a chance to prove yourself better playing in a place that understands those values (I’m a leafs fan but I have no issue with Ottawa outside the Sens rivalry)

    You went with the opposite

You could still make it right by unapologetically telling him to F off but u don’t have the guts

  17. One issue I have is that he had opportunities to say he loves Ottawa, lives here, his son was born here, etc… but no, all he said is that he plays here and gives it all he’s got….
