  1. Over the last week, I’ve seen not one, not two, but THREE articles from the Globe & Mail editorial board about the B.C. budget deficit (don’t get me wrong it was pretty bad, but I found it excessive). I’ve seen articles on the national post and all sorts of other websites, again covering the BC budget. Seen comments call them communists and bad fiscal managers.

Hopefully everybody keeps the same energy for the fiscal dumpster fire in Alberta.

51 of the last 56 years has seen Conservative rule in Alberta. They have given away everything. Record profits for oil companies, record deficits for Alberta. Tell us again how it is the fault of immigrants and thw Feds though.

How could Rachel Notley do this? Her sabotage knows no bounds clearly!

In all seriousness that’s one ugly deficit. Alberta needs to get their fiscal house in order.

    Quebec 2.0 indeed.

Good. Now they can finally lose the „fiscally responsible“ reputation conservatives somehow get in spite of deficits

Meanwhile Norway with similar resources and roughly the same population has a $2 trillion wealth fund. But please proceed to re-elect the same party

  6. I can give them credit for one thing, and one thing only – they actually took a pessimistic view on oil when coming up with this budget, instead of pegging it at $10-20 more than economic forecasts predicted. Unless the bottom completely falls out on the market, $10b is about as bad as it will get.

That said, blaming this on immigration after strangling the education and Healthcare systems to the breaking point? The only reason such a massive injection is required in the first place is them refusing to fund those systems adequately to begin with. This is a time bomb of their own making, and it blew up faster than they anticipated.

  7. This is clearly the federal liberals fault for gas prices being too low

But the high gas prices are also the federal liberals fault making cost of living too high

Either way it’s the federal liberals fault
