  1. It will very much facilitate the daily life of the neighbouring communities.

It is a long-standing request from the communities of Polis Chrysochous, Pachyammos and Kato Pyrgos.

At the moment, to get to Nicosia, residents of these communities follow the road indicated in yellow which takes one hour timed to get there, while by crossing Kokkina the journey will be reduced to 15 minutes.

That is from 55 minutes to 15 minutes just by simply passing through the enclave.

Essentially these communities are experiencing isolation because of the Turkish-occupied enclave.

  2. Going from Mosfyli to Pomos is currently the same time as going from Paphos to Limassol or from Nicosia to Larnaka. The beach route slashes the time to half. Moreover, it makes a future connection from Nicosia to Polis Chrysochous through Tylliria possible.

  3. Had a Turkish soldier point his rifle at me and bark orders when going in that direction from Pachyammos

  4. Imagine going from Hamitköy to Gönyeli but first going to Kyrenia over mountain and coming back. Hopefully a solution can be found to pass through Kokkina.

Most people have to go to the mountains to go from Pyrgo to Polis. A 5 minute rode becomes 30 minutes at list. I took that road once and it was very tiring.
