For some light reading [The 1965 Voting Rights Act](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voting_Rights_Act_of_1965) It is interesting to see how the the Supreme Court is evolving on the issue through the many cases throughout the years.

Thankfully we have had an influx of population from more liberal areas and it has changed things a good deal.
