Luxury for who?
“The company used to find wives for us but now I have to it myself.”
I have two Japanese friends in their late 30s (a man and a woman), who are very well-traveled and even dated several foreigners but are vehemently anti-foreigner/immigration.
They want to preserve the Japanese race (and have voted in that way this election). I am accepting of their views, but always find it ironic that they won’t get married nor have kids!
