The closest we ever got to building something like this in modern times is being knocked and replaced with a cube

We’re not allowed nice things like new buildings or interesting architecture. Tight fisted pricks run this country, just bow down to American corporations and everyone is deprived of developed cities. Cunts

    A capital/infrastructure project ?

Nah our government would rather let the ones we have rot until they’re completely non functional before investing in anything new.

  6. I was only thinking about New Zealand today where all businesses have an awning on the front so you’re covered.

The usual suspects would get the contract having tendered a great value €200m to cover every street in Dublin in 2 years but €20 billion and 20 years later it would be discovered they installed sun shades
