I remember when I heard the story of Solomon as a kid offering to cut the baby in half, I thought it was the most batshit crazy story I’ve ever heard. As I’ve gotten older the story is frequently applicable in geopolitics.

As is true here, the true mom refuses to cut the baby in half, not settling for anything less than her whole child. The fake mom, the lying woman, is willing to settle for whatever piece of the child she can get.
