Lucas Pinheiro Braathen gewann die Goldmedaille im Riesenslalom und erreichte damit als erster Brasilianer und erster Südamerikaner in der Geschichte der Olympischen Winterspiele jemals das Podium. Er ist eigentlich Brasilianer-Norweger (brasilianische Mutter und norwegischer Vater) und nahm früher für Norwegen an Wettkämpfen teil. Er ist derzeit überall in den Nachrichten Brasiliens zu sehen.

Hat das in Norwegen für Aufsehen gesorgt? Worüber reden die Leute, wenn überhaupt?

    Most medals get kind of drowned in new articles about new medals all the time, or unlucky swedes 😅

    He is essentially treated as any other Norwegian athlete, and given the same amount of attention. That being said, there are a lot of them. In general, I think NRK are doing a great job telling the athletes‘ stories this olympics.

    Brazilian here. What events are considered the most prestigious in the Winter Olympics? Is alpine skiing the most important event? Or maybe Nordic skiing? In the Summer Olympics, the 100m relay, the marathon, and gymnastics are the most prestigious ones imo.
