They left off *Brexit supporting tax dodger domiciled in Monaco*.

    2. As soon as he lives in the UK and pays his taxes I’ll start listening to his opinion.

    3. denyer-no1-fan on

The Schrodinger immigrant: we are here working in low-wage jobs on benefits, while simultaneously powerful enough to be comparable to colonisers.

      Make up your mind!!

    4. Familiar_Notice_4687 on

Every time this guy speaks about anything other than business he comes across as a total simpleton lacking any common sense. It’s remarkable the reputation/status that can being achieved simply by being rich. Good luck Utd…

    5. exoskeletion on

And this is bad when they don’t play for my football team, otherwise it is ok.

    6. Abject_Interview5988 on

If you tax domicle abroad then you should lose the right to chirp on about British politics.

Jim decided he didn’t like paying UK tax so he can fuck off

    7. Free-Interest-785 on

I’m sure the massive sikh and immigrant community that support Man United will love this

    8. Antique_Historian_74 on

I assume Jim is about to show us all he’s not a massive hypocrite and is getting rid of all the immigrants playing for Manchester United, right?

    9. EvrytimeILeaveMyRoom on

Who’s wants to bet whether this guy employs immigrants on low wages?

    10. LazarusOwenhart on

Yes it has, for literally thousands of years. Better get some DNA tests going and decide exactly how much Roman or Saxon blood counts as non native.

    11. Damn those forriners coming over here and being paid to play football when there’s perfectly good Brits who can lose just as enthusiastically.

    12. Caramel-Foreign on

Is that not precious, coming from another British immigrant to Monaco?

    13. Kaladin1983 on

Let’s me be honest, we know he’s right, the UK is on its knees, I’m no reform voter, but the decline is real and the rise of the right isn’t going away until we solve them.

    14. From a guy who has taken nearly a billion pounds in aid for his company but lives abroad and pays no uk taxes.

In December 2025, the UK government announced a major support package for INEOS to secure the future of the Grangemouth petrochemical complex in Scotland. This follows the closure of the adjacent oil refinery earlier in 2025, with the government aiming to protect around 500 high-value jobs at the remaining Olefins & Polymers (O&P) plant.

**Key Details of the 2025 Support Package**

      * **Total Investment:** A £150 million joint investment, with the UK government providing over £120 million to £125 million, while INEOS contributes the remainder.
      * **Components:** The package consists of a £50 million grant and a £75 million loan guarantee to help upgrade production units and improve energy efficiency.
      * **Strategic Importance:** The government designated the site as „strategically important“ for national infrastructure, specifically for producing ethylene, which is vital for the automotive, aerospace, and plastics industries.
      * **Conditions:** The deal secures a five-year operational commitment from INEOS and includes safeguards to protect taxpayers‘ money, giving the government rights to share in future profits.

      **Previous and Other Government Support**

      * **Previous Grants:** In 2022, the Scottish government approved a £500,000 grant for an INEOS project related to hydrogen technology.
      * **Free Emissions Permits:** Ineos Group has previously received substantial free permits under the UK’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), with some reports estimating their value at around £115m in 2022.
      * **Antwerp Project:** Critics have highlighted that the UK government previously provided a £600 million loan guarantee for an INEOS project in Antwerp, Belgium, raising questions about prioritizing foreign investment over domestic, at a time when the Grangemouth refinery was facing closure.

The 2025 bailout was described as „bridging finance“ aimed at making the site profitable within five years.

    15. Genius billionaire jim: I’ll ignore all the economic issues that come with Brexit and will support Brexit.

** Britain struggles due to bad politics of Brexit **

      Jim: those damn immigrants

Obviously not a guy who does his research, he was off by 20 years when it comes to the population increase.

The guy has no humility. He owns a club in France, where a small % of his Man Utd spend would make them into a top club, and his INEOS system has failed. And yet he thinks he’ll be able to restore Man Utd whilst propping up the Glazers.

The Epstein files have shown that these wealthy elites are even more psycho than we know. There is truly only one way to handle these scumbags.

    16. > „The UK has been colonised by immigrants, really, hasn’t it? I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it’s 70 million. That’s 12 million people.“

      > The Office of National Statistics (ONS) estimates that the population of the UK was 67 million in mid-2020 and 70 million in mid-2024.

      > The UK population was estimated at 58.9 million in 2000.

At the point where you as a journalist know the person is just outright factually incorrect, why even publish their views?

    17. Remember everyone that immigrants are the reason you are paid barely enough to live and not the ceos refusing to share their „hard earned“ billions

    18. The points being made in here are insane.

It is clearly economically unsustainable to allow the welfare budget to continue to soar due to lazy natives and uncontrolled immigration. There is no politics behind it, it is a mathematical certainty that if we keep going the way we are going, we are fucked.

But people in here would rather make points about there being foreigners in the Man Utd team or the fact that he left the UK..

None of that matters when he is objectively correct in what he is saying. Unless we change course, it is a mathematical guarantee that we and our children are fucked.

    19. hadawayandshite on

Colonisation: “send settlers to (a place) and establish political control over it.”

Unless specific foreign governments are sending people here in an attempt to take over our country, he’s not using that word right

    20. He’s not wrong. Romans, Vikings, Saxons, Normans… what have they ever done for us?

    21. Impressive-Bird-6085 on

Says the Monaco domiciled billionaire…. Who was a leading advocate for the highly damaging Brexit….!

    22. No_Seaworthiness569 on

Thing is..just because they swamped us en masse..doesn’t mean we can’t kick them out en masse.. 🤷 grow a set of big boy balls and call the army to do the job you can’t do yourself

    23. linux-is-better on

It’s true. Celts, Romans, Saxons, Normans… an island full of immigrants!

    24. The best part of this interview is how he tries to imply immigrants are the main reason behind the increase in population from 58m in 2020 to 70 million today, except he, 1) Completely ignores any increase in population from the native-born population, and 2) He was completely wrong on the stats anyway, as the population in 2020 was actually closer to 67m – but a 3m increase obviously doesn’t fit his narrative.

Also funny he keeps mentioning what he’s done at Man United even though his tenure has been so short as of today it’s impossible to know how his changes will actually impact the club, while completely ignoring the disaster that has been INEOS’ tenure as owners of Nice.

And don’t even get me started on “I think Farage has good intentions”… must be nice being so insulated against the economic decline he claims to be combating that you forget about Brexit…

    25. I love how the article goes from singing his praises to outright stating he’s wrong in a few paragraphs.

    26. Good, I moved over from Argentina years ago, I’ll be helping myself to the fucking islands now. Move… move aside you minging natives….

    27. Is the colonisation in the room with us right now?

I think that the media has to take a bit more responsibility here. Yes there is a 24 hour rolling news culture whereby we must fill every waking moment with NEWS but this doesnt even touch the sides of the definition of colonisation so it is lazy (and stupid) to repeat his words verbatim.

‚“I don’t like immigration“‚, says man who has made his fortune from globalisation‘. Choose one, sir.

    28. Purp1eMagpie on

Another billionaire tax dodger blaming the state of the country on immigrants instead of wealth inequality…

      What a surprise.
