16km/h is very specific.
in galway i made the unfortunate mistake of falling asleep on the bus and yes i did make it to the depot ðŸ˜
They mean railway sleepers. Years ago the bus drivers used to play an annual football match against the train drivers. After years of losing to the bus drivers the train drivers decided to get their own back and trained a mischief of Magpies to carry old railway sleepers and leave them under the buses as a prank. Unfortunately the Magpies have now taken to do this of their own natural instinct and the drivers are still finding random sleepers under their buses to this day.
One way traffic ðŸ¤ðŸ¤ðŸ¤
I once ended up inside summerhill depot after falling asleep after a night shift. I’d say sleepers are a daily occurrence tbh
I woke up in the Ringsend Depot many years ago. I was sleeping soundly upstairs and the bus hadn’t been checked, it was pitch dark and I was fairly freaked out by it. Wasn’t entirely sure how to get off. I let out a yell and one of the cleaners was nearby and opened the door allowing me to scamper out and into the night. Getting off I was expecting some alarm or commotion but it seemed pretty routine that they were springing sleepers at the depot back in the 90’s.
I’ve been that soldierÂ
I have fallen asleep on much public transport. I got locked into a 46A at Dun Laoghaire DART station and had to break out of the bus. I was woken by a driver on a 145 and on an 84 on two separate occasions somewhere around Bray and Greystones respectively. I also fell asleep on a DART and was locked into Greystones DART station after hours.
A dublin bus driving less than 16 kmph is pretty funny, gotta say.
They mean Russian sleeper agents
A girl I work with woke up on the top deck of a double Decker in donnybrook depot after getting the bus home after a few drinks, it definitely happens!
Jesus, if I were a bus driver I’d be sleeping soundly every night, people leave sleepers on the bus ?
As somebody who’s had a few close calls of accidentally sleeping through my stops and waking up on the wrong coast, this is really, really reassuring.
I appreciate this sign as a person who has woken up at 3am on a nightlink that went back into town
Fell asleep on the night link once years ago. Bus driver was sound and dropped me back to my nearest stop on his way back to the depot.
I once woke up at the end of the line on a South Korean tube. Fell asleep at 2am on the way home. I had no money and no Korean… I miss my 20’s
Had a friend break out of clontarf depot after falling asleep on the nightlink
