Mike Johnson hat gerade versucht, den Papst in Bezug auf die Bibel zu korrigieren. Ernsthaft.

      The unbelievable gall.

This is such a sign of the Republican Party. They think they know everything.

If Mike Johnson wants to teach the Bible, he should start with the man in the Oval Office. The „Christian“ who couldn’t name a single Bible verse yet grifted believers by selling Trump Bibles.

    3. And the Pope responded „No where in the Bible does it say you and your son should watch porn together“

Johnson mansplained religion to the Pope to justify immigration crackdowns, and the internet rightly roasted him for twisting scripture to fit policy.

The wild part isn’t that a US politician tried to correct the Pope. It’s that this is now a normal campaign move.

This is what happens when religion stops being about belief and starts being about dominance. Loud certainty beats actual knowledge, every time.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Mike was one of those “Christians” who look at Catholicism as some sort of abomination. Gotta make sure we keep people divided.

Do people not realize that evangelicals do not consider Catholics to be Christians? He likely has almost 0 respect for the pope.

I like the posts reframing Bible verses to match Johnson’s viewpoint

      >“I was a stranger and you kidnapped and deported me“. Matthew 25:35, as modified by Pastor Mike.

      >“An angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph saying, “Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to seek the child to destroy him.”
      — the Gospel of Matthew “We’re with Herod.”
      — Christian America

    9. People need to understand that Evangelicals don’t think Catholics are real Christian’s. Mike Johnson really thinks he knows more about the Bible than the pope because he legitimately thinks the Pope is going to hell for interpreting the Bible wrong.

To be fair, Johnson, and others like him, don’t see Catholics as Christians. They would stop Jesus from flipping tables in a church and arrest him.

I’ll tell you right now, the people who talk about the Bible the most are the ones who don’t read it.

    12. Well, the New Testament certainly doesn’t say that. And in Acts of the Apostles, we actually get quite the opposite impression since at the Council of Jerusalem the Apostles decided to abrogate many of the Jewish requirements for new converts, particularly circumcision (which came as a great relief to many, I am sure).

Mike Johnson and his son are “porn accountability buddies” and monitor each other’s internet usage if that tells you anything

      Fucking creep

He is a Christian that ignores the Bible and a constitutional lawyer that ignores the constitution.

    15. Mike Johnson said assimilation is expected. Well, White America did not assimilate into Native societies. How does he speak to that?
