You couldn’t make this up. I don’t even understand how this helps electorally. Anybody who’s had to pay thousands to regularise a backyard that’s 10cm too small, just to sell their house, should be furious that these people are getting a payout.

This just goes to show yet again that the law in Malta is just a suggestion and will never be enforced. I hope that the next generation will end this corruption, lawlessness and greed.

    3. The businesses had plenty of warning of the storm. Some chose to prepare, others didn’t… so why is the government compensating them AT ALL?? This is taxpayer money and they announce record profits every year atp… Do these businesses contribute to humanitarian aid? Ever?

Malta is ruled by a mob, mejta bil-guh ghal vot. We should NOT be helping anyone, let alone people with illegal structures. They should have been insured, like the rest of the businesses and home owners.
