I hope they hold out this time and not fold. They have a opportunity here to actually change something. The funding for DHS is only extended 2 weeks. That is going to go by very fast. There is a solid chance something bad happens in that the next 2 weeks that will unify people even more against DHS/ICE.

Anyone willing to make a bet on how long this goes on for?

ICE has its place, but not in its current form. I want to see full transparency of why they are detaining someone. I want them to then join with local LEOs to do the actual arrest. Then have the person put in a county-jail (not a ICE detention facility) where the person can stand trail in a fair environment while being treated like a human.

ICE also needs to get rid of hiding behind masks. and everyone needs a body worn camera that is on 100% of the time. That footage needs to then be publicly accessible without much delay. I want to see a last name on their chests or at least a badge number that can make identification easy in the event of a shooting. Don’t be a coward. If they operate by the books, they don’t need to hide.
