      lol, i mean seriously, who’s shocked? it’s not like Putin cares about a handshake promise from a guy who probably doesn’t even know what day it is half the time. the dude is playing a long game of chess while the rest of us are stuck playing checkers. but honestly, this just adds fuel to the fire of how messed up the whole geopolitical situation is right now Trump’s in his own reality, Putin’s in his own, and us regular folks are just caught in the middle. we’re being fed the same recycled “this time, it’s different” narrative, and it’s getting old. a “promise” like that was never gonna stop Putin from doing whatever he wanted anyway. he’s in a position of power and has bigger fish to fry than whatever verbal contracts some former president might think he made.
