At this point they have as much to learn from each other
Well, let’s face it. The British, and many other countries, haven’t been in a real land war in over 80 years.
I hope the EU treats them well, because Ukraine is going to come out of this war with the largest and most battle hardened army in all of Europe.
The British army teaches soldiers how to fight like ww2 . They ignored drones way too long . Only recently have they started training our own troops on them . I doubt we will have any where near enough for a ukraine type conflict . Just enough for token box ticking. To seem as a modern agile force when behind the scenes it’s not really . I dont fancy our chances in the next major land war.
Only a very, very small number of world military forces are experienced in the realities of 2026 micro drone warfare.
Pretty much Ukraine/Russia and Israel/Gaza, the rest is theoretical if anything
When i bought my first DJI drone for $350, i sat on my couch in my living room, watching live video on my 85″ TV streamed from a drone i was flying miles away… My immediate thought was “ this is the future of warfare „
One of those things you *quickly* learn why it is used.
Ukraine and Russia are world leaders in active drone combat. I would say Ukraine is ahead as they have sea going drones too.
Just a little historical knowledge will tell you the British have been heavily involved in numerous real land wars over the last 80 years. Northern Ireland, Borneo, Yemen, Korean War, Falklands war, Gulf war, Iraq and Afghanistan. But let’s watch you get the up votes even though your assertion is incorrect.
They are all Gold Nova III in CSGO
The trainers just became the trainees.
a two way exchange of knowledge is absolutely fine. learning new things is nothing to be ashamed of, especially if it might save lives.
The Ukrainians should be training the Brits. Seriously.
They weren’t really needed or a thing even a few years ago, the war in Ukraine is the first time we’ve ever really seen this kind of drone warfare
Whom is teaching whom
Britain hasn’t been attacked at home from the air for over 80 years. But they’re not dummies, so I expect they’ll catch up soon enough.
All depends on what training was, if just initial compressed boot camp it creates a baseline of skills eg weapon handling when cold tired and wet, team work and basic following orders.
Ukraine need to teach us at this point. They have so much more experience of warfare.
I don’t believe this is a lack of knowledge issue – the UK have another option -DragonFire
I think it’s much farther along in its development and isn’t on the ground in Ukraine due to security of technology
