Vielleicht dumme Frage, ich denke darüber nach, mich für eine Probe-BahnCard anzumelden. Kann mir jemand bestätigen, dass ich sie tatsächlich nicht kündigen kann? Bieten sie dieses Angebot absichtlich an, um die Leute dazu zu bringen, sich anzumelden und zu verlocken, und um dann die gesamten Jahreskosten zahlen zu müssen, sobald es abgelaufen ist? Da ich hier nur für ein Semester Student bin, würde ich sowieso nicht viel mehr als die 3 Monate brauchen.
Aber auf dem Bildschirm dahinter steht: "Ihre BahnCard verlängert sich automatisch um ein Jahr, sofern Sie sie nicht spätestens 4 Wochen vor Ablauf der Gültigkeitsdauer schriftlich kündigen. Sie haben ein 14-tägiges Widerrufsrecht."
????
Update: Ich verstehe es jetzt. Ich habe online gekauft und sofort storniert. Ist die erhaltene E-Mail gut genug, um zu bestätigen, dass mir nach Ablauf der Testphase keine Kosten in Rechnung gestellt werden?

You can of course cancel it within the terms of service.
You cannot cancel the Probe BahnCard (3 months).
But you have to cancel the whole subscription 4 weeks before its end of validity (i.e within the first 2 months) if you do not want to continue with a regular BahnCard for a whole year afterwards.
It’s valid for 3 month, you can’t cancel it after 1 month and get 2 month worth of your money back.
Also its a subscription, so it gets changed into a full bahncard after 3 months. So if you only want the probebahncard, you need to cancel the subscription at latest 4 weeks before the 3 months are over, otherwise they will charge you for a full card.
IMHO, this is a trick to get you sucked into a sub. I did this and didn’t like the experience when I requested to cancel. Had to email , was late by a day, subscription kicked in for a year , never wanted it etc etc
It’s almost a scam and for some reason everyone accepts it and just says „it is written there“.
You wrote: you bought it and immediately canceled – now you’re buying it online, meaning cancellation and termination are two different things.
If you canceled your purchase contract, then it’s as if you never bought the card. You simply need to terminate the contract properly and within the notice period.
If that came across as snarky, it was just a matter of word choice, sorry about that. But the word you actually meant to use is „terminate.“ Or perhaps you didn’t want a card in the first place.
