      I’ve never seen a group of people so desperate to be completely and utterly exploited. Seriously. Do they not watch the news at all?

      The weird thing is they aren’t even trying to separate and be their own thing. They’re trying to join the US where they’ll be infinitely worse off than however they feel they are now.

      What is sedition? What is treason? I’m genuinely asking. I was too young to care about Quebecs referendum when it happened. Did Quebec get help or open support from a foreign nation? I guess what am looking for is there line drawn or is it all a gray area?

      Gullible, low-education people being firehosed constantly with unregulated right-wing media / social media is rapidly shepherding in the downfall of stable and prosperous western society.

      Some might screech „censorship!“ or „muh freedom!“ but this cancer clearly needs to be regulated.

      Isn’t this what happened in Ukraine as a pretense for the Russian invasion?

      They really should spend some time talking to people in other oil rich portions of the world about how things went when the US took over.

      But don’t they know the majority in Alberta don’t want to separate, only like 30% want it if not less. Together we stand divided we fall.

      These people need to be arrested. Stoking division in this time is seditious and traitorous, and disappointing to real Canadians.

      There is three factions to the separatist movement. One just wants to sign as a form of protest, one actually wants Alberta to be its own country and the third wants to join the US. The first faction believes we cant separate anyways so they will sign anything anyways to protest, not realizing thier signatures are more then a protest. This is the biggest group. They will even argue that the States have nothing to do with this and deny any involvement from the States even with evidence. Daniel Smith even talked about the 500 million loan from the Trump campaign but those fools still do not believe it. All groups do not understand the levels of government and what thier responsibilities are. They blame the liberals for equalization even though Jason Kenney and Steven Haper played a pretty big roll in it. Daniel Smith will do something wrong and all these parties will blame the liberals. It is embarrassing to be an Albertan. These separatist fools do not release that there will be a mass exodus of people from Alberta if this were to happen (it wont, I am First Nations and we will fight this). So many nurses, doctors, teachers professionals and everyday people will move. There is lots of us that are Canadian and will remain Canadian no matter what

      There are always a number of separatist movements across the world. Not many are are successful resulting in a peaceful transition. It is naive for separatists to expect to win a majority and have the losers to just roll over and accept it. One that plays with matches is likely to get burned.

      Absolutely wild that the RCMP is sitting on their hands about this.

      Meeting with senior Trump officials and securing (or attempting to) financial backing for sedition activity is very clearly a crime.

      2. Introduce stricter rules to prevent foreign entities from holding controlling interests in Canadian media, ensuring editorial independence, protection of Canadian culture, and the integrity of public information; and
      3. Maintain transparency and accountability by requiring publicly available reporting and disclosure of any foreign ownership stakes in Canadian media, so Canadians can be informed about who controls the news they rely on.

      With a group of people so delusional, it’s hard to reason with them.
      If they want to be part of USA, there are easier/faster ways – just cross the border.
      Reality is that US doesn’t want them. They just don’t know it yet.

      Trump isn’t going to bankroll the province.

      Trump is going to demand money since Trump wrongly thinks the US has been subsidizing Canada.
