Bro, am I reading this correctly? Half of their profits come from regulatory credits? If you remove the subsidies, they’re down to $2B profit all else held equal?

Tesla announced the end of two car lines at its Fremont factory and a switch to robot manufacturing. End of an era. The Chinese have won the EV market.

Where did the bitcoin losses go? I remember last year the headline was that the car business barely made any money and the mark-to-market gains on 2024 bitcoin holdings were carrying the EPS. But Bitcoin is down this year, did they not report the losses?

We’re supposed to buy that he’s building Optimus, the future of robotics that will be in every home and will replace every surgeon in the next ten years AND developing Tesla’s robotaxi. On a $6b R&D budget?

$65b car sales, $57b car production costs, that does not sound like a healthy business model. They’re only making 10 cents profit on the dollar per car?
