      There is a film about her!

      There are allegedly rumours she was an escort when she was younger, I wonder if that’s covered?

      I assume that this happens reasonably often for smaller films? Obviously it’s a bit embarrassing, but I can imagine that there’s a fair few films every year that have an empty cinema.

      I’m sure I remember reading something last year about a Sydney Sweeney film that had something similar (which was noteworthy because people were using it as „proof“ of the backlash against her, after the whole „jeans advert advocating for white supremacy“ nonsense).

      Plus, there might be an element of people that do want to see it being aware that it’s not going to be popular enough that they *need* to pre-book. I can’t see that making much of a difference, but it might still be a factor.

      Only empty in Scotland. I’mbsurprused anyone would pay, or even be paid, to watch this trash. In a cinema no less.

      Best response I’ve read about this film is that if they screened it during a flight people would still walk out.

      Amazon paid $40 million for this film.

      Melania got $28 million for this film.

      The film has already done what it was meant to do.

      note: how long would it take you to make $28 million? Do the math and get depressed and/or angry.

      Watched it – felt really uncomfortable during the sex scenes but I suppose it’s still classed as a type of nature.

      I’m amazed anyone thought a theatrical release for this was a good idea. Or at least beyond a single night at some obscure 20-seater Curzon just to get on the nominations for the inevitable ~~Oscar~~ Razzie.

      I mean, the trailer for this came on before a film I saw last week and there was audible laughing when it finished. Sorta says it all.

      I van imagine some people might watch this out of boredom or curiosity on a streaming service.

      But leaving the house and paying cinema money to watch a movie about a completely inconsequential woman? (Note: am woman not lazy misogynist).

      Who would ever?

      this is clearly and obviously a vanity project for both trump and his escort lady! Amazon or whoever threw the money at her as a bribe of sorts, and something to bestow a sense of grandiose and relevance upon Melania! no doubt the payment was up front and amazon will carry the cost of it flopping!

      No doubt it’s fuelled by the fact that the Obamas (particularly Michelle) can do this kind of thing to great success and Netflix back then because it sells! But bring ego and narcissism into the mix …. and this is what results, a slap of reality ….. no one (outside USA) likes her and no one likes the trump circus enough to pay to be part of it.

      how long until they start blaming the film director, “off with his head’! probably going to be a huge hit in Russia, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Yemen etc! and every other country will get 100% tariffs.

      This is so transparently a money laundering scheme that it isn’t even funny. Even MAGA die-hards won’t care about Melania’s back story enough to watch a film about her, so there is no chance that anyone in the UK would.

      saw the trailer for this in cinema recently for this. Thought it was a satire and they cast someone that had a really good likeness to her, took me a good 20 seconds to realise it was actually her and the whole trailer seemed so pointless

      At sone point she has to hear about ticket sales. I don’t envy whoever has to deliver that news!

      Although I almost expect Donald himself to tell us it out-sold Inception’s opening week, and threaten to sue any pulication saying otherwise.
