    $309 million sounds huge until you remember it’s Amazon. That’s like… a slow Tuesday for them. Still hope people actually get their refunds and not just credits or some nonsense.

  5. How do you file a claim? I’ve spent the last 8 months constantly fighting with them over things I’ve returned, then they’ve recharged me for returned items and I have to fight to get my money back. Tired of their bullshit. Bezos, that bald wrinkly gremlin, can go suck a fuck.

    I’ve been having issues with them saying that I returned a different item. It’s like they don’t even check but say I’m wrong. Can’t really fight it, the time isn’t worth it. Think it’s just time to buy less from them.

    i’d like to know how actually they are proceeding with this, even I had some issues with their customer support and return policies, I wonder how they are going to proceed with their previous as well as new complaints.

  8. I’ve decided to just keep my monthly prime subscription fee and shop elsewhere. Sure it’ll be less convenient to some extent, but I’ve decided to stop giving money to these monsters because it’s the only language they speak.

  9. I hate Amazon! When I returned a $800+ air conditioner because they sent a different cheaper model than I ordered. They refunded as an Amazon gift card though I had ordered another air conditioner. I was stuck, I spent hours calling there and trying to dispute. No luck! I finally had to spend gift card so I could delete my Amazon account. They lost a customer. Shop local if at all possible. Quit making jeff besos richer

    Owe me $1400 for a pool pump. Morons sent me the wrong one (an older model but it was new). Told them, sent it back. Sent me an email saying the item was not the same one. Weight the same, item pictures the same. Brand new just the crap model.

    Marked as „refunded“ and the amount is zero. Did a chargeback after 5 attempts with Amazon support and Bezos goons provided pictures of a totally different item and said that’s what I sent back and put a tracking number that had an origination from the east coast while I’m in California. My purchase was on my synchrony Amazon card so they of course sided with Amazon. I closed that account quickly after.

    They’re goons but this automatic review isn’t going to turn up much for anyone.

  11. Pointless lawsuit since Amazon is still doing this.

    I have a 20+ year account with them and tried to RMA an ice maker that leaked about 6 months into the one year warranty. The seller no longer existed and Amazon agreed to refund the price on return. The agent said they were delisted because.. the ice machines leaked. Shipped the item, got a notice it was received then a notice that it would take 2 weeks to process the refund.

    I don’t know why it would take two weeks to create a credit online but OK. 2 weeks pass, they claimed it would take another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later another 2 weeks. Then again, contacted Amazon support, and was told I needed to prove my identity with a photo ID which had to be taken and sent via cell phone. I mean, wow, I might have stolen my own ice machine and falsely returned it under my own account right??

    Annoyed, send the damn ID in. A week later I get an email „refund denied due to device not being in original condition“. No way to appeal, contact a human, or anything. Why would I have returned a device that was in its original condition anyway??

    So cancelled my account. I hope that $185 was worth it to Amazon. I normally order thousands of dollars of items a year.

    Prime kept charging me for Paramount even though we had a separate subscription account. As soon as we’d open the app on our stupid fire tv, boom another subscription fee. I tried to get a refund. But had no luck. Finally deleted and cancelled prime. And created a new account. Just so we could use the damn tv. Double charged for 18 months. Bastards.
