The endless parade of Red Tory opinion pieces are tiring. These people are vastly over represented in the media class and largely don’t exist outside of their gilded halls.
Let’s be clear, Carney is doing well and Poilievre so far has failed to find a weakness to exploit.
But let’s also be clear about the flip side. Carney has not run away in the polls, and Poilievre has not collapsed. We’re largely in the same place as the previous election.
These folks cheer on their palls O’Tool and Jean Charest, when they objectively failed to capture the interest of anyone other than the 12 Red Tories that write all these articles.

First „hegemony“, and now „Pyrrhic“ – online dictionaries must be seeing a huge uptick in volume from conservatives lately.

Good commentary, Poilievre has repelled centrist voters, and there is no way he can come back from that, in essence, he will never win an election. It would not be a surprise to see more of his MPs crossing, why would they want to stay in a party that is going nowhere.

Pierre Poilievre voted in favor of bill s-210 (now back from the dead as s-209), despite it going against the ideals he was campaigning on. He then he lied about his support for the bill after he was called out over it.
His goals are not aligned with what he preaches, but the party lacks a strong leader who can replace him.
