I mean, does USA want us? It seems a lot of murder for someone you want in your country

  2. Darkdragoon324 on

I don’t think they’d want any Americans at this point, not even the sane ones.

  3. I’ve lived in MN 25 plus years. I own a home and business in Cook County. I 100% would entertain this idea. I know most of my neighbors would too.

I’ve been saying this since Saturday. Walz can’t win. Fight back? Insurrection act. Comply? Get trampled. Secede? Maybe Canada throws you a life line.

  5. We’ll call you North Baja. Each one of you will receive an acre of land and a grain silo filled with tortillas.

The one thing that can make me contemplate moving to Minnesota because that weather is the shits.

  7. Not sure if any American state, no matter how blue, is ready to give up their guns.

I would prefer to become part of Denmark but whatever, won’t be as crazy and offensive as what we now have.

It’s ridiculous but I completely support it! Fuck ICE and fuck Trump. And especially fuck Noem. And fuck Stephen Miller even harder.

Canadian here, I am ok with this. Minnesotans appear to have more in common with Canadians than their fellow Americans in most things. I think regional accommodations can be made for Minnesotan gun owners as that is probably the biggest difference.

We dont have open carry laws so youre less likely to get shot by the authorities.

Except Canada’s immigration laws are very strict and theres no way they would take all those people.

I mean dayum. The US really did show a huge middle finger to MN. I’m in NY and wouldn’t mind a merge.

I would love for my state to do the same at this point. I’m so sick of the corruption, injustice, and incompetence, I could scream!
How about Canada taking the whole northeast, and the east coast down to Virginia??

Ok here we go so it’s complex but possible, I’d welcome them but I don’t think all the steps would be approved.

    1. State referendum in the U.S.
    2. U.S. Congress authorizes separation.
    3. U.S. constitutional amendment passes.
    4. Canada agrees politically.
    5. Canadian Parliament + constitutional amendment.
    6. U.S.–Canada treaty ratified.
    7. Transition of citizenship, courts, military, borders, currency, trade.

If this happens, then California has no excuse not to become its own country

No. We’d have to change the name of the song ‘50 nifty united states’ and that would just be too much.

The general American arrogance assuming that we want ANY of you is exactly why we want none of you. We aren’t your backup plan. Fix your own shit and stop making your problems our problems.

As a Canadian, I support this. We need a mild weathered area to visit during the cold months.

  20. East_Worldliness2287 on

Nope on your own. Get rid of your guns and get universal healthcare first.

Im from California and if they get to leave we get to leave. And take our immigrants and 5th largest economy in the world.

We would welcome you with wide open arms. You will enjoy universal health care and zero chance of getting shot by a masked thug.
