  1. **In Brief:**

    * Extortion in Canada has surged dramatically, with a 300% national increase and nearly 500% in British Columbia over the past decade.
    * Expert Ron Chhinzer explains this shift from domestic to transnational gangs, often targeting South Asian communities in cities like Brampton and Surrey. The Bishnoi gang is identified as a significant transnational threat.
    * The crisis is so severe that some families are leaving Canada, and Chhinzer advocates for reforms in the criminal justice and immigration systems.
    * Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke has called for a national state of emergency due to escalating violence, including shootings and arsons linked to organized crime.

In a consequence free environment where you can lean on the immigration system to retain your liberties within Canada, why wouldn’t the extortion of the kind we are seeing rise?

At least there’ve been some charges in AB. Surrey police have been totally useless.

Oh hey look, something that could be resourced instead of the useless gun confiscation from legal, law abiding owners.

And before someone inevitably says “the government can do more than one thing at a time”, clearly they can’t because they are failing at both. Time to drop the one that will not help society and focus on the one that will.

Step one and resolving this issue is to stop showing amnesty towards criminals. Certain criminals don’t deserve to be integrated back into society, including extortionists. Throw them in a gulag, and be done with it. It would also send a message to other would-be criminals.

Soft on crime, soft on fraud, decently wealthy country. Not rocket science.

  8. By extortion you mean rent prices with no alternatives?
Like it’s not that you can just sleep in the woods or in your vehicle on the street if you don’t want to be extorted.

Let’s all acknowledge the elephant in the room, this is all coming from one country which has become the #1 source of low-skilled and criminal immigration into Canada…

Because Canadian criminals love to imitate or be like the gang culture in the U.S.

No trial, no lengthy investigation. Anyone involved with this, and every member of their immediate family gets instantly deported to their home country. They can then reapply for entry after providing their own proof they were not involved.

    This will stop overnight.
