Absolutely not!!!! I couldnt oppose an idea more then adding a US state to this great country.

  2. I knew it was The Body before I even opened the article. That sexual tyrannosaurus.

Let him tell you something, McMahon!

  3. More of a response to the brutality being visited upon Minneapolis than a genuine suggestion, but I appreciate the framing. You can’t claim Ventura doesn’t care about his state.

  4. 47% of Minnesota voters chose Trump in their last election. In pre-election polling, the province with the highest support for Trump had 29% say they would vote for him. I.e., despite being a blue state, they are far more supportive of Trump than any province and adding them would just be adding a bunch of cult members and shifting us more towards their politics.

It’s also just an idea that will obviously never happen and only helps to legitimize their own threats to our sovereignty.

Minnesota is an open carry and conceal state. They’d have to give up their 2nd amendment rights. I have a really hard time believing they’d give that up.

They becoming part of us, us becoming part of them. The narrative is becoming very annoying

What would Minnesota have to offer us, other than threats from Trump? Stay home Minnesota, we support you in your fight but in no shape way or form, want you to be part of us

  8. We have enough foreign criminals scamming our Canadian social system, we don’t need more from Minnesota.

Canada is happy with the number of Provinces it currently has. Thank you for your interest.

  10. Well, thing is about Canada is we have a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Americans would not be compatible with that.

  11. As a quote to troll Trump, great. But this would probably not work out very well at all.

Even when the Canada and US relationship was at its best, there is no way that taking Minnesota into Canada would not create an extaordinarily hostile response from the US.

  12. No thanks. They can start their own country. Don’t need their problems here. We aren’t America Lite

Why don’t we all just stay at our side of the border? You are busy fixing your stuff over there anyway.

No thank you, we’d like to preserve what little of our distinct culture we have. I’d be more than happy to support them as their own sovereign nation, if they ever choose to secede or form their own nation with other like-minded states and we can be friendly neighbours, but that’s it.

  15. Nah. Lay in the bed you made. We really don’t want any of you people up here

  16. Stop screwing around blabbering about joining or annexing other countries. Put your energy into straightening out your own house.
Fight the fascist vote them out

  17. The constant articles and talk about joining, leaving, taking over, or succession from countries is so fucking annoying

  18. I’m so tired of hearing about our borders merging for one reason or another. Figure your sh*t out

  19. You can seek whatever you want, but as a Canadian, no.

You are a part of the poluted whole. 47% of your voters were a-ok with this. I leave you to the reaping.

  20. No thanks, we’ve been Americanized enough. Either immigrate using your existing skills and talents or stay put.

I say this as a second generation Canadian and with the utmost respect to our American neighbours, we have a right to enjoy our own country’s unique heritage and identity without it being further diluted.

  21. It would be hilarious if the result of all the 51st state talk was the states now have only 49

  22. DreamlyXenophobic on

I dont want any american states being added, even blue ones.

Minnesota has a population of nearly 6 million. Itd immediately become the 3rd most populous province and skew our demographics way too much. I dont want american culture war issues or maga to have even more of a foothold here.

  23. FieldOne3639 on

American needs to fix itself, not try and overtake Canada by having us adopt blue states.

  24. NuclearStudent on

that’s very sweet but under basically no circumstance should we get tied into the mess of squabbling with America over territory if we can help it

  25. Logical_Frosting_277 on

    We don’t have a second amendment. I don’t think they’d be a good fit.

  26. Uno reverse Trump. We’ll take the Blue states that contribute the most to Americas economy. Have fun with the flyover/hillbilly states you buffoon.
