Dan Walsh, the republican candidate went from getting 16.6% in 2024 to just 4.4% in this election.

  2. Wow. I didn’t think 95% of Americans could agree on anything, anywhere, any time.

  3. 95% is insane.

Recency bias is insane in elections and midterms aren’t until November though. ICE is the hot topic now but it will be something different by the end of the year.

This district is a blow out every election, in 2024 democrats had 83% of the vote.

Still, running the numbers up to 95% is just insane…

For those of us who live in RED States, watch what the GOV and his cronies are attempting to sell – pure bs, straight for DJT colon

proving that non-magites can walk and chew gum and vote at the same time….well done

Which shows how stupid Trump is. Does he think blue states are going to vote for Republicans because he singles them out for abuse?

  8. Has anyone found turnout numbers? Curious if the uptick was due to more dem votes or fewer rep votes.

  9. Interesting – so do we think that this special election, in part or ulterior motive, caused ICE’s presence?

Imagine being the kind of dick who casts a vote for a republican in MN in January 2026

The writing is on the wall for the results of the mid-term election. The majority party should have already lined up their post-Congressional consulting gigs. The remaining clock on this administration is running low.

Republicans aren’t getting this state for a decade after this shit.

    >Democrats have **won two special elections** for the Minnesota House of Representatives as the state reels from President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

    >Meg Luger-Nikolai, an attorney, won House District 64A on Tuesday with more than 95 percent of the vote, according to The Associated Press. Her Republican opponent Dan Walsh secured around 4.4 percent.

    >Meanwhile, Shelley Buck, a former president of the Prairie Island Indian Community’s Tribal Council, won an election for House District 47A with 97.6 percent of the vote. Buck ran uncontested in her election.

    💪

  14. Does anyone know the turnout? Like was there more turnout amongst democrats than amongst republicans? Wondering if enthusiasm amongst democrats and depredation amongst republicans might account for the increase?

  15. I wonder if Trump could actively call for the execution of their own family and they would still be okay with him. Or if he like order them to surrender their young daughter to be raped by him personally. At that level of extreme it’s a thought experiment I would genuinely be interested in seeing the results for.

  16. Democrats are the correct choice 100% of the time.

Anyone who says differently, in light of everything that has happened, is wrong.

Anyone who still says they „just could not vote for Kamala and the Democrats“, for whatever reason, is wrong.

  17. The sentiment is great, but from now on let’s not create martyrs, but vote in droves to keep maga, trump, conservatives or whatever out from the absolute beginning.

Your life could literally depend on it. EVERY vote matters, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

While the elections were in blue-leaning districts, Luger-Nikolai won her contest with a much higher proportion of the vote compared to the previous election in November 2024. Then, Democrat Kaohly Vang Her won with 83.2 percent of the vote.

Change doesn’t start at the midterms, it starts at every state, county, sheriff, mayor, city council, and education board election that happens between *now* and the midterms.

Keep voting!! And watch who you vote for! Make sure to research the candidates, no more AIPAC candidates, no more right wingers running as democrats! Vote out all corporate interests.

Not really a surprise, here’s hoping that surrounding areas also shift blue.
