Mein Paket steckt voller Kleidung und Liebesbriefe und meiner letzten Erinnerungen mit meinem Freund. Es enthält sogar einige Geschäftspapiere. Das bereitet mir erneut Kummer und macht mir Sorgen darüber, dass das Paket vielleicht nie oder zumindest nicht anständig ankommt, seit ich gesehen habe, wie die Post fehlende Pakete vernichtet. Wie soll ich damit überhaupt umgehen, weil sie ständig sagen, dass es zurückverfolgt wird? Wenn das jemals wirklich verloren geht und ich eine Entschädigung anbiete, wäre ich am Boden zerstört, denn diese Erinnerungen sind nicht mehr zu bezahlen.

    Usually the original post service from country of origin has to make a search request to posti so they check where it is exactly.

  2. Seems to have gone to customs/airport side. Where is it going then? Not sure what destruction you’re referring to, but it doesn’t seem to be missing currently? Or have they said so?

    This is a bit all over the place with stuck package and destruction worries

  3. I have the problem with tracking information from Posti side. I sent one letter and one parcel 2 weeks ago. Parcel arrived last Friday, but no updates from Posti still. Traking info about letter was updated by foreign post service, but no updates from Posti in the last 10 days.

  4. I would not deem it lost yet. There are countless of mishaps that might happen with logistics at different spots caused by different parties

    Why would you ship priceless items as average bulk package? You do know those are handled in masses and not with care, as they literally travel internationally for a couple of bucks, right?

  5. i have also had this issue with DHL and posti before. in my cases, my parcels were ready to be declared, and i just hadn’t been properly emailed the information for that. it could be that, or some other minor issue that hasn’t showed up within tracking. definitely contact them as soon as you can, and they should be able to sort it out quickly. 🙂 [contact posti here!](https://www.posti.fi/en/customer-service)

  6. That looks like normal tracking, why do you think it is lost? It can take weeks to arrive if you send from a different country. And it will get sorted in multiple locations just like the text says in the tracking.

    When sending from abroad, the one who receives it in Finland, needs to pay customs + Post handling fee + make customs declaration online. Only after all this they can get the package. So if any of this hasn’t been done when the Posti tracking tells you to do it, then it is possible for Posti to send the package back abroad or destroy it.

    If you send something so important you can’t afford to lose, you should always send it with those extra services that will guarantee it 100% gets delivered (maybe even directly to your door instead of package pick up points) and the receiver has to sign it before they can get it etc.

Parcel deliveries have long been jam-packed and overloaded because people are ordering „too much“ from outside Finland while Tulli and Posti don’t have enough employees to sort them and handle their workload because „hiring additional employees would cause them more expenses and wouldn’t be cost-effective enough.“ And their problem would be eased and alleviated if they hired more employees to work with the parcels instead of laying them off like they are currently doing and making the problem worse, but unfortunately they refuse to do so.
