      I’m a big fan of introducing a rule that states if you’ve been convicted of a crime you are ineligible from running for any public office.

      I don’t like this individual, but I think he should be allowed to stand for election, I think going down the route of blocking people from elections because you don’t like them is a dangerous road to start to travel

      An uncharitable reading of this would be the only reason he isn’t endorsing implementation of Sharia law instead of British law is that Muslims aren’t powerful enough to force it on the rest of society.

      But that’s a silly thing to say. There’s no reason to be uncharitable to the bloke. It’s not like the rest of the article is full of red flags. I’m sure Mr „Muslims are not pacifists, if someone comes into your face you knock his teeth out, that’s my message to the youth“ would be an upstanding representative for all the people of Sparkhill.

      The lads from the IRA and UVF run as politicians (they even welcomed in America with open arms) and none of them have ever had their citizenship revoked either. The same lads will take you on a tour of Belfast and show you where they bombed and killed people or you can just watch them talk about it on one of the many BBC documentaries. I wonder what is about his man with his different colour skin that makes him do different?

      Reminder that our anti terrorisn laws are some of the most loose in the world. I dont know the specifics of his case, but we do have pensioners being labeled as terrorists so I’m inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt since he’s running in the election and not in prison.

      Scared to say what I think as we are incredibly strict here lately. But in my opinion, convicted terrorists shouldn’t even be in this country (deport), no matter being able to run for bloody office.
