I know that South Carolina’s been growing a lot, but 1.5% growth within a single year is pretty crazy.
What’s goin on in Vermont?!
New York is going to loose a lot of electoral votes.
DE is basicly people from the North East, who still want to be in the North East, but want a lower cost of living. The growth along the shore has been significant over the last 15 years.
We visit once a year and it’s been impressive how each year the shore states farther out.
We have been visiting Denver for the last 20, and the airport used to be really far away from everything , now not so much.

Washington stands out as the last high cost liberal state still seeing rapid growth. Glad to see the Midwest seems to be doing better than in some past decades.
I’m puzzled why you chose 0% change in population to be light red in color given that intuitively most people would assume that white would be the natural transition between population decrease and increase here.

The us population grows by 0.5%. So those light blue states are losing ground too
the upper midwest is doing.. okay! hell yeah 👏👏
Louisiana, MS, and IL are no longer losing population, I find that interesting.
I know 2 people who just moved from NC to Vermont, so that will undo two of the „darkest“ states in the color legend
