From the AP News article: “ICE agents are being sent to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy — but not to enforce immigration laws there: the U.S. government says they will help support security operations, especially for the U.S. delegation, and work with other federal agencies.”

  2. Read the book [The Sovereign Individual: Mastering the Transition to the Information Age](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/82256) – with a forward by Peter Thiel and understand this is the playbook by which all the tech bro oligarchs are operating. By the way – none of us are sovereign individuals – it was written for them in the late 1990’s and is playing out since last year.

  3. Idk how the Italians feel about this, but i would feel very weird and uncomfortable knowing that armed „security forces“ from another country is roaming around  the streets of my country

Man fuck this regime, but like, please at least read even just up to the second sentence of the article?

    >“Homeland Security Investigations, a unit within ICE that focuses on cross-border crimes, frequently sends its officers to overseas events like the Olympics to assist with security. HSI officers are separate from the ICE arm at the forefront of the immigration crackdown known as Enforcement and Removal Operations, and there was no indication ERO officers were being sent to Italy.

    >That distinction, however, wasn’t immediately clear to local media on Tuesday morning.“
