      Italian officials protested US plans to deploy some ICE staff at this year’s Winter Olympics, underscoring how the agency’s role in an immigration crackdown at home is stirring opposition overseas.

      Speaking on local radio, Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents “are not welcome” in his city. He was echoed by Italian opposition leaders including former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte who demanded Italy bar them from entering the country.

      An online petition asking Italy to block them at the border got more than 30,000 signatures in a few hours.

      Since when does the stupid f’n US think ANY of their ‘police’ forces have jurisdiction in Italy? Supposing they’re bringing over their own weapons and various crowd ‘sprays’? Maybe they want to just rent them in Italy. Trump and the US are a danger to world order.

      What are „United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement“ agents supposed to do in Italy? to my knowledge Italy does not share a land border with the US. sadly /j, I know the ICE have become Trumps own blackshirt army.

      FBI and Swcret Service i can understand and think most people would accept but ICE. Not chance in hell. If the antics we are seeing are anything fo go by they would end up shooting a comoetitor or tourist for ‚looking at them.funny‘

      We don’t even want them here and they want to send them there? Italy should just block the US from participating in the Olympics or US Athletes should say they won’t go if ICE is involved in anything there. Why have immigration, border and customs agents for a different country there as security, especially now when ICE is really just random people with guns that have 0 training and just walk around in military cosplay thinking they’re tough. I would say they should send other agencies but honestly with this administration I wouldn’t want any of them going there.

      WTF?! Do Americans seriously believe ICE has any authority oudside US borders? What would ICE do in Italy? This isn’t USA, you can’t carry weapons here.

      Am I getting this right ? USA want to send ICE militia to Italy ? But why ? What’s their role there ? Deport people with American passport ? Cause they ain’t deporting no European there. And as security details ? Don’t they have secret service for that ?

      Trump is prolly bringing ICE to Italy so they can start recruiting some Italian fascists.

      As well as using ICE’s new spy technology that can pretty much track anyone, expat Americans or even Italians ICE considers a „terror threat.“
