      MI stands for Mumbai Indians. The team is called Mumbai Indians New York? Wtf

      3 of these teams are owned Indian cricket league teams, so they have same branding as their Indian sister teams.
      They are:

      Texas Super Kings – Owned by Chennai Super Kings

      LA Knight Riders – Owned by Kolkata Knight Riders

      MI New York (worst name ever) – Owned by Mumbai Indians (yes that is team name, yes it is pretty dumb)

      Mumbai Indians is owned by Anil Ambani richest man in India and Shahrukh Khan is ther part owner of KKR

      As someone from Chennai I was baffled to see why my city’s team badge is on Texas. Didn’t know they owned a team in the US.

      Are they actually playing in their own cities now? Didn’t the entire first season take place at one location in Texas or something?

      Kinda funny that MI New York is a branch of Mumbai Indians. Couldn’t they have come up with a better name?
