      France is a unique country in Europe. It always amazed me how France treats culture, tradition, own security. They are definitely punching above their weight which is good. We need more leaders who are open. I wish in my country leaders would stop with „Neverpossibilism“ and instead of screaming how bad Mercosur is, do what is needed to benefit. Or PIS leaders fearing to call out Trump for insulting our soldiers

      we need to ditch those big it companies from us completely in eu.
      There are open source alternatives to almost anything out there

      This needs to be an EU-wide coordinated effort. Trying to replace these services on a country by country basis just isn’t sustainable.

      As an european, I don’t usually agree with France on a lot of things, but in this situation the french are right. And this should be an european movement, we have to ditch US American products and software and start using european alternatives

      I am all for this, but the problem isn’t writing the code or the protocol: the problem is where to host, who has the server capacity all over the country or Europe?
