> At least eight additional Democrats have signed on as co-sponsors to a resolution to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after a federal agent shot and killed 37-year-old United States citizen Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday.

We need to be demanding the resignation of the entire administration. There isn’t a single redeemable person in the entire cabinet
Clinton was impeached for a blow job. This is the best we can do?
Only 120?
She’ll resign with an ironclad pardon
No Hakeem Jeffries I see. The DNC leadership is so fucking useless.
She needs to be thrown in jail.
I want her impeached, removed and prosecuted. But part of me is worried that voters will see that as a fix to the problem, rather than one of many involved in the kidnapping, assault and murder of innocent people. This must be a beginning and cannot be allowed to end with Noem.
It is at 140 now.
Happy to see my rep is listed.
How many law makers need to sign on
MY RESPONSE IS TOO LONG DON’T CARE (TLDC). But I’m beyond pissed. And if you are too, please read.
PLEASE LOOK at who is not cosponsoring it and contact them if they are your Rep. In Northern VA my Dem Rep has not cosponsored this yet (and I double checked the bill on Congress.gov). There are over 200 Dems in the House. 70 isn’t enough.
I’ve contacted my U.S. Rep and Senators probably 20 times about impeaching Noem and my other thoughts about these murders. I will not stop.
People say they want to help Minnesota but but can’t afford to donate. You can email (or call) your Members of Congress to impeach Noem (and Trump) and to not vote on passing DHS funding (including ICE) (they vote tomorrow). It takes 5 minutes. It’s free. You can do it from anywhere. It matters no matter what you think.
I used to work in public policy for 12 years so l visited Capitol Hill often (pre-Trump) and even with all the bullshit that goes on, I saw some great shit happening up there. Some great legislation, collaboration, inspirational senators. I was in awe. I ain’t in awe anymore and I’m over it many days but do not ever make it easy on your Members of Congress by staying silent. Until whatever is next, do not shut up about this insanity. This horror.
I’m not eloquent. So many of you are on here so please use your eloquent voices. And even if you are like me you can still get your point across. In two sentences.
To find your Member of Congress‘ contact info:

Also, there is this great link on all the ways to help Minnesota including boycotting companies (and what to say to your Congressional members). If they haven’t already, ICE is coming for all of our cities/towns/states.

Edit: forgot two words
Why so few?
Hopefully they will get her RBF off the air. I’m getting tired of changing the channel every time one of her ads for self deportation comes on the TV
IMO, She’ll be out of her job in a week. Homan in. After the dust settles and they’ve cleaned up her reputation a bit she’ll get a less visible role under Trump.
Just out of curiosity, where’s AOC?
First impeach trumpet, it has infected the whole world, pedo scum
Who gets to pick who takes over?
100% of democrats should be on board for this.
I’d hate to be Kristi Noem’s puppy after hearing this news
Boo hiss, that’s 28%. We keep seeing these articles about how _most_ of the Democrats have signed on while the headlines aren’t mentioning that _there’s a whole other 218 people that aren’t a part of that statistic_, even if the Democrats ever hit 100%.
287 is needed to remove from office. 2/3
What are the other ~400 waiting for?
435 in the house and 100 senators…
Apparently prosecuting them is off the table.
Throw that coward in jail and toss the keys into the gutter.
Impeach and investigate!
I don’t quite get why it wouldn’t be politically expedient for republicans to hang her out to dry?
Kristi Noem Impeachment: 8,967 Lawmakers Sign On…still not impeached.
This is nice, but every cabinet member is incompetent at best, a traitor at worst. Trump needs to be impeached and the whole government redone.
bye feleesh
I believe they need 218 to enact it
Even if she resigns, they will go ahead with impeachment to ensure she can never hold Federal public office. Something they should have done after J6 with a certain someone.
What is the statute of limitations in South Dakota for Animal Abuse/Cruelty?
Votes needed for impeachment
A majority of the House of Representatives. (435 voting members, 4 seats are vacant)
* 216 are needed (if everyone votes)
* 3 Republicans and all Democratics (213)
Two thirds majority of the Senate (100 voting members),
* 67 are needed (if everyone votes)
* 20 Republicans, all Democratics (45) and both Independents
I just grabbed the numbers off Wikipedia. Let me know if I’ve made a mistake.
Not Fetterman though that POS.
The Republicans will sign on as well if they want any future in politics.

Why only 120? When will the rest step up for our country? Especially as her vulgar goon clown squad runs rampant.
The whole admin, please….
impeach now before her face melts off and she guns down another puppy.
Up to 145 now.

Impeaching Noem is performative nonsense. Stephen Miller is the one pulling the strings. They’ll just replace her with another psychopath. Trump and his entire cabinet needs to go.
