      We are such a stupid country down here. We’d be post Norway levels of rich if we taxed our resources sector and it’s royalities properly.

      Fun fact for our international redditors. We have a resources billionare down here named Clive Parmer (We call him fatty McFuckhead). Man declares bankruptcy yearly, while still having enough money to literally sue the federal government constantly.

      We aren’t the brightest bunch when it comes to holding our politicians accontable for the dollars these billionares put in their pockets, while they rape the earth and soil and send all the money offshore.

      We are sitting on a huge, finite resource. Either mine it and pay a fair amount to Australia or don’t and come back when other deposits start to dry up and pay 10x what you would have

      If Australia has it definitely India has it too. The problem is India has area under agriculture which means it will never be surveyed by geologists
