      This article makes zero sense as Scalp/Storm Shadow is as much French as it is British.

      At some point I’m going to start to think there is a plot in Europe against French weapon.

      How the fuck does european country / europe manage to buy from non euro country weapons while they could find it in europe is beyond me.

      first off, it’s alleged speculation.

      secondly, the reasoning to opposing it is to put the money into production investment, instead of short term finite weapons. „It has argued that any funds donated to Ukraine should be used to boost the bloc’s domestic defence industry over Kyiv’s defensive needs.“

      If France can’t produce them fast enough then why not buy them from the UK? This is just petty, it seems France would rather see Ukraine without the arms to defend itself just so the UK arms industry can’t have the business. Is that really what this is?

      Pointless to fight over something like this. Ukraine needs all the production that can be sent there. If Europe supports Ukraine to the level required, there is more to produce than any country’s arms industry currently produces.

      Besides, of all the European countries, Britain has never been the weakest link in this conflict. Their support for Ukraine has been strong from day one. EU or not, they are a reliable ally in helping Ukraine.
