The deal mainly just reverses some really high tariffs implemented in 2024 right? That would make it a „normalise relations deal“ more than anything new. If I’m not mistaken about that, then I really struggle to see how anyone could interpret this deal as being aimed at the US.

The deal with china is not a deal as much as it is just a return to normal and a method to improve relations
