    „speed up“

A project that started 10 years ago and produced little so far.

  2. Should have happened earlier, but good that it is being done now.

The subsurface fleet seems to be recovering from its post-2010 nadir faster than the other parts of the service. Hopefully this kind of integrated, decisive action can serve as a model for other neglected areas of the force.

Too many fingers in the pies when it comes to maintenance. Outsourcing on top of outsourcing. The maintainer with the spanner is probably 8 levels at a minimum from the one who can make the decision. Those 8 levels probably involve 4 entities each costing overhead and profit margins.

MoDs commercial lot needs a massive kick up the arse.

Submarines that are passed their projected lifespan are always going to be costly and be in dock for long periods
